Our CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course runs weekly at our Perth training centre. The White Card training course gives you the essential knowledge to stay safe on the construction site and is recognised across construction, civil, mining, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
Who Can Do the White Card Course in Perth
The simple answer, everyone can join the CPCWHS1001 White Card course. As long as you’re 14 years or older and can meet the photo ID requirements, you’re eligible to complete the White Card course. It doesn’t matter if you’re an Australian citizen, visa holder, or new migrant. Anyone can attend and get certified. If you’re unsure about anything, contact our friendly customer service team.

What will I learn on a White Card course?
The White Card course covers everything you need to know to work safely on a construction site. You’ll learn how to identify and control hazards, understand your legal responsibilities under WHS legislation, use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, and follow emergency response procedures.
The course is based on the national unit CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, and gives you the foundation to meet safety requirements on any construction site in Australia.
What is the ID that I need?
Western Australia’s White Card is simple when it comes to ID. All you need to bring is one form of official photo ID. This can include
- Australian drivers license
- proof of age card
- passport (Australian or international)
- ImmiCard
- Boat license
- High Risk Work license
- School ID card

What do I need to bring with me on training day?
Bringing the correct ID is essential, as it’s one of the most important requirements on the day. Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.
If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.
Other than that, just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE. Standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine. All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.
You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card Perth immediately after you have finished.
