White Card training in North Lakes
We’ve been running our North Lakes course since January 2024, out of the North Lakes Community Centre at 10 The Corso, look for the signs pointing to Room 2 once you’re inside. It’s about a 4-minute walk from North Lakes Bus Station.

$99 covers the whole 5-hour course. Bring 3 forms of ID (one with your photo) and turn up, we handle the PPE, pens and paper, plus tea and coffee during breaks at no extra cost. Street parking on Endeavour Parade is available if you’re driving, though it can fill up, so leave a bit of extra time.
You’ll walk away with your Statement of Attainment the same day, then WorkSafe QLD mails out your physical card in the following 2 weeks.

Enter the North Lakes Community Centre and follow the meeting-room signs to Room 2.
If you drive to the training centre, you can take the bus to North Lakes Bus Station, which is around four minutes by foot from the venue.
Paid street parking is available on Endeavour Parade, but spaces can be limited. Allow extra time and check current parking signs, charges and time limits.

What is the ID that I need?
You must present 3 forms of ID. One must be a photo ID. The ID can be from Australia or NZ.
If you are on a visa, you can use your overseas ID but one of the 3 items used must be your visa.
That’s the simple way to understand the ID requirements. Everyone needs three things. To see the official ID requirements you can read below.
Identification Requirements for White Card in Queensland
1 – If you are in Australia on a Visa. You can use your Visa, Passport and one other ID document from your home country
2 – If you are a student in High school you can use your School ID and one document from the category A or B below
3 – If you do not fall into either category above you must follow the standard ID requirements that are listed below
ID Requirements (essential that is in original format and not photos): RTO must sight, three matching, original, evidence of identity (EOI) documents before undertaking GCIT. Please see the list of acceptable documents below. Please note that it is essential for your ID to be original and from Australia (your passport can be foreign).
The EOI documents must comprise either: • One (1) Category A document and two (2) Category B documents, or • Two (2) Category A documents and one (1) Category B document.
At least one Category A document must be photographic and show the person’s full name.
At least one Category A or B document must show the person’s date of birth and signature.
Category B documents must be Australian-issued documents.

What do I need to bring with me on training day?
Bringing the correct ID is essential, as it’s one of the most important requirements on the day.
Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.
If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.
Other than that, just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE. Standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine.
All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.
You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card immediately after you have finished.
How do I find the North Lakes venue?
The Venue is easy to find.
We are in the North Lakes Community Centre.
When you get to the community centre you are looking for meeting signs to Room 2.
There is plenty of signs directing you to each room.

Parking & Transport?
There is paid street parking available on Endeavour Parade, but it can be limited, so if you’re driving, allow extra time to find a spot.
For public transport, reach North Lakes Station, then transfer to the nearby bus stop, just 100m from the venue.
Cross Endeavour Parade and you’ll see the North Lakes Community Centre directly ahead.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
You don’t need to be fluent in English to do this White Card course in North Lakes. A basic level is fine as long as you can follow along, understand safety instructions, and communicate with your trainer.
That means being able to read simple signs and short texts, write basic answers on forms, and follow verbal instructions during the session. A bit of basic numeracy helps too, like reading times or simple measurements.
If English is your second language, that’s completely fine. Just make sure you’re comfortable enough to participate and take in the safety content.
