• What is the ID that I need?

  In QLD you must present 3 forms of ID. One must be a photo ID. The ID can be from Australia or NZ.

  If you are on a visa, you can use your overseas ID but one of the 3 items used must be your visa.

  That’s the Simple way to understand the ID requirements. Everyone needs three things. To see the official ID requirements you can read below.

  Identification Requirements for White Card in Queensland

  1 – If you are in Australia on a Visa. You can use your Visa, Passport and one other ID document from your home country

  2 – If you are a student in High school you can use your School ID and one document from the category A or B below

  3 – If you do not fall into either category above you must follow the standard ID requirements that are listed below

  ID Requirements (essential that it is in its original format and not photos): RTO must sight, three matching, original, evidence of identity (EOI) documents before undertaking GCIT. Please see the list of acceptable documents below. Please note that it is essential for your ID to be original and from Australia (your passport can be foreign).

  The EOI documents must comprise either: • One (1) Category A document and two (2) Category B documents, or • Two (2) Category A documents and one (1) Category B document.

  At least one Category A document must be photographic and show the person’s full name.

  At least one Category A or B document must show the person’s date of birth and signature.

  Category B documents must be Australian-issued documents.

  Category A documents Status 

  • Australian Birth / Bicentennial Birth Certificate (born in 1988) – full (not Extract or Commemorative Certificate)

  • Australian Citizenship Certificate / Naturalisation Certificate

  • Department of Home Affairs (DHA) – Certificate of Evidence of Resident Status – Visa Evidence Card (with PLO56 Visa)

  • Queensland or Federal police officer photo identity card. Current

  • Australian passport

  • Australian Certificate of Identity, Document of Identity, Titre de Voyage, Document de Voyage

  • Foreign passport

  • Australian photo driver licence

  • Queensland Government issued photographic high risk work licence

  • Queensland Accreditation / Authorisation: driver/rider trainer; pilot/escort vehicle driver; dangerous goods driver; tow truck driver/assistant; traffic controller; passenger transport driver (bus, taxi, limousine). Current or expired less than two years

  • DHA – ImmiCard; Temporary or Resident Visa; Document for travel to Australia. Note: Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is not accepted. Valid up to five years after issue • Queensland Card 18+ (laminated). Issued after 01/01/1992

  Category B documents – must be Australian issued documents Status

  • Australian Defence Force photo identity card (excluding civilians)

  • Australian Firearm Licence (with photo)

  • Australian Security Guard/Crowd Controller Licence (with photo)

  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs/Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card (including Healthcare card)

  • Education institution student identity document (must include photo and/or signature)

  • Financial institution debit/credit card (must include signature and embossed/printed name)

  • Medicare card; Department of Human Services Basics Card

  • Interstate government-issued or government-approved photo identity card. Current

• What do I need to bring with me on training day?

  Having the correct ID is essential. It’s one of the most important requirements on the day. Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.

  If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to have that with you.

  You’ll need a stable internet connection, a laptop with a working camera and microphone.

  You’ll also need to have your own PPE ready to demonstrate over Zoom: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, High-Vis Vest, and Hearing Protection.

• What does the White Card Online QLD course cover?

  The White Card Online QLD course provides the foundation you need to understand health and safety requirements on Queensland construction sites.

  During CPCWHS1001 training, you’ll learn about workplace health and safety laws, common construction hazards and the controls used to reduce risks. You’ll also cover site safety communication, hazard and incident reporting, emergency procedures, construction safety signs and the correct selection and use of PPE.

  Your course is completed in a scheduled live Zoom classroom with an approved trainer. You’ll participate throughout the session and complete the required training and assessment in real time, rather than working through self-paced modules on your own. Queensland permits approved RTOs to deliver White Card training through connected real-time delivery.

• How is the online White Card course delivered?

  The course is delivered live via Zoom. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with your Zoom link, instructions, and everything you need to know to get set up.

• is the QLD White Card course 100% online?

  Yes. The QLD online White Card course is 100% online. As long as you’re located in QLD and meet the ID and PPE requirements, you can complete it from home.

• How do I book an Online White Card Course in QLD?

  Booking is quick and easy.

  Before you start, make sure you have your USI (Unique Student Identifier) ready.

  • Need a USI? Go to usi.gov.au and click “Get a USI”.
  • Can’t remember it? Use the “Find my USI” tool on the same site.

  How to Book

  1. Choose your preferred date.
  2. Pick a time that suits you.
  3. Click Enrol.
  4. Fill in your details and complete payment.

  Once you’re done, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your course date and everything you need to know for the day.

• Do you also offer in-person sessions at training venues in QLD?

  Yes, we also offer White Card certificate courses at 6 convenient locations across Brisbane and SE QLD.

• Can I get RPL for this course?

  We do not offer RPL for any white card courses in Australia due to state regulations. You must attend the white card course to get a white card.

   

• Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

  You’ll need an intermediate level of English to complete this White Card course online in QLD.

  You should be able to understand the trainer, follow safety information and take part in discussions and assessment activities during the session. You’ll need to read workplace safety signs and short written information, provide clear answers to questions, follow spoken instructions and understand basic numeracy such as times, measurements and simple quantities.

  English can be your second language, but you need to be confident enough to participate actively and understand the course content.

  If you don’t have an intermediate level of English, we recommend booking a face-to-face White Card course in QLD instead.
