- You must be 14 or older to enrol with us. Wear comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes. PPE is provided at the venue.

- Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a free, lifelong number that keeps your training records together. We need it to issue your course certification (Statement of Attainment), unless exempt. Create a USI or find yours online.

- You need basic English to read safety information, write basic answers and follow verbal instructions. Trainer support is available throughout the day. Contact us before booking if you need learning support.

What is a White Card in South Australia?
A White Card shows you have completed general construction induction training. In South Australia, the training provider issues your card after you successfully complete the course. The course covers common construction hazards, safe work practices and PPE. Read the SA White Card requirements.

How do you get a White Card in South Australia?
Choose an Adelaide course date and enrol. Attend the full classroom session with your required photo ID and USI. After you successfully complete the training and assessment, we issue your Statement of Attainment and South Australian White Card.

What does the SA White Card course cover?
The SA White Card course covers the essential safety knowledge needed to work on construction sites. You’ll learn about work health and safety requirements, common construction hazards, risk control measures, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety communication and how to respond to incidents and emergencies.
The training covers CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Do White Cards expire?
Your South Australian White Card remains valid while you maintain your competencies and have worked in construction within the last two years. If you are returning after a longer break, check your training requirements. For a lost or damaged card, contact the training provider that issued it. Read more here.

Can you do the White Card online in South Australia?
Our South Australian White Card course is delivered face-to-face in Adelaide. Book your place online, then attend the classroom session in person. Bring your required photo ID and have your USI ready; PPE is provided at the venue.

Can you use your SA White Card in other states?
A valid White Card issued in South Australia is recognised in all states of Australia. You don’t have to repeat a White Card course if you move to another state. That being said, you will still need any site-specific induction and training required for your work.

What is the ID I need to bring with me?
South Australia White Card is simple when it comes to ID. All you need to bring is one form of official photo ID. This can include:

- ImmiCard

Who can enrol in a White Card course in SA?
Anyone aged 14 years or older can enrol in White Card training in SA. There are no formal qualifications required.
However, participants must have a basic level of English reading, writing, and verbal communication to understand safety concepts and complete assessment tasks.
White Card training is suitable for school leavers, job seekers, tradespeople, apprentices, and anyone preparing to enter the construction industry or other high-risk work environments.
Can international students or visa holders get a SA White Card?
Yes. International students and temporary visa holders, including those on Student, Working Holiday, or Skilled Work visas are eligible to complete White Card training in SA.
You’ll need to provide valid photo ID and meet our identification requirement.
Once issued, your White Card is valid throughout Australia.
Is White Card training mandatory in SA?
Yes. White Card training is legally required under SafeWork SA regulations for anyone who carries out construction work or needs to access an operational construction site.This includes labourers, apprentices, tradies, site supervisors, engineers, delivery drivers, and even office staff who visit live construction zones.Without a valid White Card, you cannot legally enter or work on these sites in SA.Can I complete my White Card training online in SA?
Our White Card courses in SA are currently only face-to-face.
How do I book a White Card course in SA?
It’s simple, and you just need to follow these steps:
- Pick a date that suits you.
- Click Enrol.
- Fill in your details and complete payment.
Once you’re done, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your course date, venue, and everything you need to know for the day.
Show up on the day with your ID and complete your course.
Before you start, make sure you have your USI (Unique Student Identifier) ready.
Need a USI? Go to usi.gov.au and click “Get a USI”.
Can’t remember it? Use the “Find my USI” tool on the same site.
They are easy to get; it only takes a few minutes. Once you get one, it’s yours for life and you don’t need to get one again.
Can I get RPL for this course?
We do not offer RPL for any white card courses in Australia due to state regulations. You must attend the white card course to get a white card.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
You don’t need to be fluent in English to do this White Card course in South Australia. A basic level is fine as long as you can follow along, understand safety instructions, and communicate with your trainer.
That means being able to read simple signs and short texts, write basic answers on forms, and follow verbal instructions during the session. A bit of basic numeracy helps too, like reading times or simple measurements.
If English is your second language, that’s completely fine. Just make sure you’re comfortable enough to participate and take in the safety content.
