Frequently Asked Questions

• What is the 100 points of ID that I need?

  If you are doing the White Card on Central Coast, you are required to provide 100 points of ID. All documents must be original and issued in Australia. (Your passport may be from overseas.) Digital licences (e.g. Service NSW app) are accepted. If you are new to the country (been here less than 6 weeks) or a high school student, please scroll down as you are exempt from the 100 points.

  ImmiCards CAN NOT be used unless they are approved by SafeWork NSW directly. Please email us 48 hours in advance of your course if you seek approval to use an ImmiCard.

   

  Note: You must include at least one photo ID (e.g. passport, driver’s licence, photo card) your signature and address across the IDs used.

   

  Who’s Exempt from 100-Point ID?

  You do not need to present 100 points of ID if you fall into any of these categories:

  • New arrivals (in Australia for less than six weeks)

  • Current high school students

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

  Exemptions in Detail

  1. New Arrivals (Less Than 6 Weeks)

  Bring:

  • Passport or visa

  • Bank card or driver’s licence from your home country

  2. Current High School Students

  Bring either:

  • Your school ID

  • One of: driver’s licence, birth certificate, passport, or citizenship certificate with evidence you are in school. You must show the trainer you are still enrolled. This could be by logging in to your school portal. If you are unable to provide evidence you are in school, you need to provide 100 points.

  3. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Applicants

  If you lack sufficient ID, provide two official references from recognised agencies.

• What do I need to bring with me on training day?

  Bringing the correct ID is essential, as it’s one of the most important requirements on the day. Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.

  If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrollment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.

  You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE. Standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine.

  All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.

  You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card immediately after you have finished.

• How do I find the Central Coast venue?

  Our Erina White Card training venue is simple to find.

   

  Inside Erina Fair, head to the library.

   

  At the library there is training rooms.

   

  We are in the training room in front of the library.

• Parking & Transport?

  All-day parking is available at Erina Fair shopping centre.

  If you are catching the bus, get the bus to the main bus stop at Erina Fair, walk to the library and you will see our training room.

• Do you have after hours courses or other course dates?

  If you’re after an evening or after-hours course, we run these sessions at our Sydney City CBD location.

  We also offer courses at 12 convenient locations across Sydney and regional NSW.

• Can I get RPL for this course?

  We do not offer RPL for any White Card courses in Australia due to state regulations. You must attend the White Card course to get a White Card.

• Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

  You don’t need to be fluent in English to do this White Card course in Erina. A basic level is fine as long as you can follow along, understand safety instructions, and communicate with your trainer.

  That means being able to read simple signs and short texts, write basic answers on forms, and follow verbal instructions during the session. A bit of basic numeracy helps too, like reading times or simple measurements.

  If English is your second language, that’s completely fine. Just make sure you’re comfortable enough to participate and take in the safety content.
