I've been in the work force for 30+ years and ad a landscape Gardner i have never needed to obtain a white card. After doing the course today I am glad to have done it. Our trainer Craig was a teacher I'd met before at another safety training our company organised for us. Obviously he's has been doing this a while because from the get go he has tour attention. Easy to follow and makes it as enjoyable as a day course can be. I'd 100 % recommend this company to anyone needing safety training and certification

Sam M.

Matthew N.
I took the White Card course at this location and the experience was just like a day at high school. Just about 9am-3:30pm and a lunch break in between. Except we learned hazard reduction and risk aversion, all the important every day things one does on a construction site. We also learned about safety measures like first aid dialing and fire extinguisher use. All an all $110 dollars for a single day of how-not-to-kill-yourself lessons was valuable experience I think I will take with me forever when the days of labour come. Craig Barratt was the professor and after life on a construction site and time spent firefighting, you could tell the passion for the study of these preventative measures was embedded within. I recommend this course for anyone wanting to get a White Card.
Jon Z.
Definitely recommend getting training done here!I want to express my sincere gratitude to Craig Barratt for his dedication and support throughout the course. He was a great instructor and made the course enjoyable! You are a legend mate!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Barney B.
I completed my course today with Craig. He explained everything so well I thoroughly enjoyed the class.

A Simple Understanding of the White Card Northern Beaches

White Card NSW

Don’t be confused. There’s only ONE white card course, done in your state of residence. Laborers, tradespeople, engineers, truck drivers, and even those new to the industry all take the same course. Once you complete it, your white card is recognised across Australia, so there’s no need to retake the White Card course if you relocate. Whether you’re a citizen or hold any visa type, you can enrol in the White Card Course in Dee Why on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

In NSW, three specific conditions apply. See below:

In New South Wales you must be 14 years of age or older to register and complete training for the White Card course.

A USI number is easy to get. It is required if you do a course in Australia regardless of age or status. Get your USI number HERE (we can assist with helping you attain your USI after you book your course).

In NSW it is essential you meet the SafeWork NSW ID requirements. Read about the ID requirements HERE

Exemptions:

Exemption One: Arrived in Australia Less Than 6 Weeks Ago

If you have arrived in Australia within the past six weeks, you can use your passport or visa along with a bank card or driver’s license from your home country. For example, you could bring a passport and a bank card from your country of origin, and that would fulfill the ID requirements. If you don’t have a passport, you could use your visa and a bank card from your home country.

Exemption Two: Still in High School

If you are currently enrolled in high school, you can use your school ID as identification, if you have this, its all you need. If you don’t have a school ID, you can choose from the following options: driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, or citizenship certificate. Just one is enough but you also need to prove you are in school with this option as you didn’t use your school ID. This could be an email from the school, you logging into your school portal. You must show evidence to the trainer you are in school for this option to be used.

Exemption Three: Identify as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander

If you identify as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander and do not have enough ID to meet the 100 points requirement, you can present two official references from relevant agencies. For further information on this exemption, please contact us via email at admin@nwcc.edu.au or by phone at 1300 988 181.

It is essential to bring the correct ID requirements with you. This is one of the most important parts of the class. Please see our requirements sections, if you are unsure about what is needed and ensure you have the necessary ID for the course. If you didn’t provide your USI during enrolment, you will also need to bring that with you.

Apart from that, just bring yourself and a good attitude, and you are sure to leave with a white card, ready to work in construction. You only need to wear normal comfortable clothes and shoes; there’s no requirement to wear or bring any construction clothing or PPE to the class. Everything you need will be provided at the venue for use on the day.
