What is a White Card in the Northern Territory?
A White Card is evidence that you have completed general construction induction training. The national unit, CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, introduces common site hazards, safety responsibilities, risk controls and personal protective equipment.
The course is a starting point for construction safety. You still need workplace-specific induction and any additional training required for your role.
How do you get a White Card in the Northern Territory?
Complete general construction induction training with an approved provider. After passing, apply to the Territory Business Centre for your NT White Card within 60 days. Keep your training certificate and identity documents ready for the application.
Validity and replacement White Cards
You may need to repeat construction induction training if you have not carried out construction work in the preceding two years. Keep your card available for inspection and contact NT WorkSafe for replacement-card guidance.
