Our CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course runs weekly at our Sunshine training centre. The course gives you the essential knowledge to stay safe on site and is recognised across construction, civil, mining, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
Who Can Do the White Card Course in Sunshine
The simple answer: everyone can! As long as you’re 14 years or older and can meet the photo ID requirements, you’re eligible to complete the White Card course in Victoria. What do I need to bring with me on training day?
The correct ID is one of the most important requirements on the day.
Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.
If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.
Other than that, just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE — standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine.
All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.
You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card immediately after you have finished.

Can I get RPL for this course?
We do not offer RPL for our white card class in Australia due to state regulations. You must attend the white card course to get a white card.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
You don’t need to be fluent in English to do this White Card course in Sunshine. A basic level is fine as long as you can follow along, understand safety instructions, and communicate with your trainer.
That means being able to read simple signs and short texts, write basic answers on forms, and follow verbal instructions during the session. A bit of basic numeracy helps too, like reading times or simple measurements.
