What is a White Card in Western Australia?
A White Card is evidence that you have completed general construction induction training. The national unit, CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, introduces common site hazards, safety responsibilities, risk controls and personal protective equipment.
NWCC’s Western Australian courses are pending approval. This page explains the planned options and helps you prepare.

How do you get a White Card in Western Australia?
Choose an authorised WA provider, check eligibility and complete CPCWHS1001 and its assessments. The training provider handles the WA card process. NWCC’s planned Perth and online courses are pending approval, so contact us for updates rather than enrolling now.

Validity and replacement White Cards
A WA construction induction card becomes invalid after two consecutive years away from construction work. If you are returning after a long break, check whether you need to complete training again. For a lost card, contact the RTO that issued it.

Can you do White Card training online in Western Australia?
Online White Card training is available through appropriately authorised providers in Western Australia. NWCC’s planned online course will start from $49, subject to approval. Online learners need suitable equipment, identification checks and practical assessment; it is more than a multiple-choice quiz.

Using your White Card interstate
A valid White Card is recognised across Australia. Moving interstate does not usually mean repeating general construction induction training. Check the requirements in the place where you will work and complete the site induction and any task-specific training your employer requires.
