Our CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course runs weekly at our Geelong training centre, located in Victoria. The course gives you the essential knowledge to stay safe on site and is recognised across construction, civil, mining, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
Who Can Do the White Card Class Geelong
The simple answer: everyone can! As long as you’re 14 years or older and can meet the photo ID requirements, you’re eligible to complete the White Card course. It doesn’t matter if you’re an Australian citizen, visa holder, or new migrant, anyone can attend and get certified. If you’re unsure about anything, contact our friendly customer service team.

What do I need to bring with me on training day?
Bringing the correct ID is essential, it’s one of the most important requirements on the day.
Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.
If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.
Other than that, just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE — standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine.
All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.
You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card immediately after you have finished.
How do I find the Geelong venue?
We are in the Geelong library centre on Level 2.
On arrival, head directly to Level 2 using the stairs or elevator. The Meeting Room is located in the bottom left corner of the Level 2 floor. If needed, feel free to ask for directions at the Level 2 Service Desk
Parking & Transport?
We’re just a 3-minute walk from Geelong Station if you’re arriving by train. If you are driving, you can park in the Civic Centre or Market Square car parks for around $20 per day.
How do I book a White Card Course in Geelong?
Its Simple.

They are easy to get, it only takes a few minutes. Once you get one its yours for life and you don’t need to get one again.
Can I get RPL for this course?
We do not offer RPL for any white card courses in Australia due to state regulations. You must attend the white card course to get a white card.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
To successfully complete the White Card course (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry), all students must have a basic level of English language, literacy and numeracy. This ensures you can understand safety information and participate safely in the training.
You must be able to:
- Read and understand simple safety signs, instructions, and short texts
- Write basic information, such as completing forms and short written answers
- Communicate clearly in English with the trainer and other participants
- Follow verbal instructions during activities and assessments
- Understand simple numeracy, such as reading times, basic measurements, or quantities related to safety
