Pakenham White Card Course Information
National White Card Courses is approved by WorkSafe VIC to deliver White Card training and certification in Victoria. Our White Card course meets all compliance standards and prepares workers for entry into high-risk industries — such as construction, civil, mining, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
There is only one official White Card course: CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
Whether you’re a labourer, tradie, truck driver, engineer, or just starting with no experience, you’ll complete the same nationally recognised course.
You must take the White Card course in the state or territory where you live.
Once certified, your White Card is valid across Australia — no need to redo the course if you move.
Anyone can enrol, including:
- Australian citizens
- Permanent residents
- Temporary residents (e.g. bridging visas, temporary work visas, etc.)
- International students
- Working Holiday Visa (WHV) holders
- New migrants

What is the 100 points of ID that I need?
Identification Requirements for White Card VIC
If you are new to the country (less than 6 weeks), currently in high school, or identify as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander, you are exempt from the 100 points of ID requirements.
I will address that below the 100 points of ID requirements in the headings below it. Please navigate there if that is you. If not, please see what you can use for 100 points of ID.
100 Points of ID Requirements (essential that is is in original format and not photos): For those who do require 100 points of ID, please see the list of acceptable documents below.
Rules to remember when providing 100 points
- Must have a photo ID
- Must show address
- must show signature
- CAN NOT USE two 70 point documents (only one 70 point document can be used. For e.g. you can not use a passport and birth certificate)
Please note that it is essential for your ID to be original and from Australia (your passport can be foreign). Digital IDs, such as your driver’s license in the Service VIC app, are also acceptable.

Exemptions:
Exemption One: Arrived in Australia Less Than 6 Weeks Ago
If you have arrived in Australia within the past six weeks, you can use your passport or visa along with a bank card or driver’s license from your home country.
For example, you could bring a passport and a bank card from your country of origin, and that would fulfill the ID requirements. If you don’t have a passport, you could use your visa and a bank card from your home country.
Exemption Two: Still in High School
If you are currently enrolled in high school, you can use your school ID as identification. If you don’t have a school ID, you can choose from the following options: driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, or citizenship certificate. but you must also show evidence you are in school if you are not using a school ID card. This could be by logging in to your school on your phone or showing an email etc. You only need one thing.
Exemption Three: Identify as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander
If you identify as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander and do not have enough ID to meet the 100 points requirement, you can present two official references from relevant agencies.

What do I need to bring with me on training day?
Bringing the correct ID is essential — it’s one of the most important requirements on the day.
Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.
If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.
Other than that, just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE — standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine.
All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.
You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card immediately after you have finished.
