Bankstown White Card Course Information
National White Card Courses is approved by SafeWork NSW to deliver White Card training and certification in Bankstown. Our White Card course meets all compliance standards and prepares workers for entry into high-risk industries — such as construction, civil, mining, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
There is only one official White Card course: CPCWHS1001. Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
Whether you’re a labourer, tradie, truck driver, engineer, or just starting with no experience, you’ll complete the same nationally recognised course.
You must take the White Card course in the state or territory where you live.
Once certified, your White Card is valid across Australia. There is no need to redo the course if you move.
Anyone can enrol, including:

- Temporary residents (e.g. bridging visas, temporary work visas, etc.)
- International students
- Working Holiday Visa (WHV) holders
- New migrants

What is the 100 points of ID that I need?
If you are doing the White Card in NSW you are required to provide 100 points of ID. All documents must be original and issued in Australia. (Your passport may be from overseas.) Digital licences (e.g. Service NSW app) are accepted. If you are new to the country (been here less than 6 weeks) or a high school student, please scroll down as you are exempt from the 100 points

One of: driver’s licence, birth certificate, passport, or citizenship certificate with evidence you are in school. You must show the trainer you are still enrolled. This could be by logging in to your school portal. If you are unable to provide evidence you are in school, you need to provide 100 points.
3. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Applicants
If you lack sufficient ID, provide two official references from recognised agencies.

What do I need to bring with me on training day?
The correct ID is essential is one of the most important requirements on the day.
Please review our ID Requirements section before attending to ensure you have the right documents.
If you didn’t supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier) at enrolment, you’ll also need to bring that with you.
Other than that, just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
You’re not required to wear or bring any construction gear or PPE — standard, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are fine.
All necessary equipment and materials will be provided at the venue.
You’ll be fully prepared to complete your course and walk away with your official White Card immediately after you have finished.

Do you have after hours courses or other course dates?
If you’re after an evening or after-hours course, we run these sessions at our Sydney City CBD location.

Can I get RPL for this course?
We do not offer RPL for any white card courses in Australia due to state regulations. You must attend the white card course to get a white card.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
To successfully complete the White Card course (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry), all students must have a basic level of English language, literacy and numeracy. This ensures you can understand safety information and participate safely in the training.
You must be able to:
- Read and understand simple safety signs, instructions, and short texts
- Write basic information, such as completing forms and short written answers
- Communicate clearly in English with the trainer and other participants
- Follow verbal instructions during activities and assessments
- Understand simple numeracy, such as reading times, basic measurements, or quantities related to safety
You must have a level of English that allows you to fully participate in the course. If you are unsure, please contact us and we can help assess whether this course is suitable for you.
