Enrolment Requirements – White Card (General Construction Induction)
To enrol in this course, participants must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Age
Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of training.
Language, Literacy & Communication
Students must have basic English language skills to:
- Read and understand safety signs and simple written instructions
- Follow verbal directions from the trainer
- Complete written and verbal assessment activities
Identification Requirements
Students must be able to provide valid identification that meets the requirements of the relevant state authority for White Card issuance.
Physical Capability
Students must be physically able to:
- Participate in classroom and practical training activities
- Demonstrate the correct use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, high-visibility clothing, and safety glasses
- Technology (If Applicable)
Where training or assessment involves digital components, students must be able to use basic technology such as: - A touchscreen device or computer
- Simple online forms or learning platforms
Behaviour and Safety Compliance
Students must agree to:
- Follow all trainer instructions and safety directions
- Behave in a manner that does not put themselves or others at risk
- Wear required PPE during practical activities
Assessment Participation
Students must be willing to actively participate in all learning and assessment activities, including:
- Group discussions
- Practical demonstrations
- Knowledge-based questions
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Students must provide a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier) prior to course completion in accordance with national training requirements.
Fitness for Training
Students must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and must be fit to participate safely in training on the day.
